Individual Therapy
We all go through difficult times which can cause anxiety, doubts about your feelings, difficulty making decisions and feeling alone and confused. You have tried everything you know but still feel stuck and overwhelmed. You just want to be happy but are not sure how.
As we explore your issues together, I actively engage with you to hear what is important to you. I support you in eliminating unproductive beliefs and patterns and guide you in adapting to alternatives which reflect the person you would like to be. I help you to learn to trust yourself to know what is right for you and not just pleasing others. I focus on helping you to have compassion for yourself.
Couples' Therapy
In couples’ therapy, I create the framework allowing both of you to understand the dynamics of your relationship in terms of your underlying personalities and what is unique to each of you. Then I help you to work together to develop a renewed way of relating to each other. These often result in “aha” moments when you have been able to communicate what you want. Arguing is a waste of time but learning how to communicate effectively opens the impasses both of you have felt.
Family Therapy
I believe that each member of the family (big or small) has an equal right to their own opinions. Then I help you to understand where the barriers to communication exist in terms of the feelings and how to shift the perspectives to help you understand each other better and create a more unified approach.
